bonaroo.., bonarroo, bonaroo, bonaroo...BONAROO, bonaroo........ bonaroo. i don't what eles to say other then bonaroo. The past four days were intense, amazing bands, amazing time, and alot of driving. sooooo much driving. the drive down didnt seem that bad, i guess because we didn't really know when we were going to get there or what the line would look like, or anything really, this was the first time that John and I had done somthing this big on our own. The only thing i had to go by for fest. was phish's last show, and that was an extreme case because of mud. We got there with little to no problem at all. the only thing that might have gone wrong was that i thought i found a short cut ( sounds like a joke we have all heard before.) well it wasn't really a short cut, it added about 45mins to our drive, but man was it a sweet ass road, it took us threw this crazy hickish down where you don't want your car to break down. the road tho was like the roads you see in the movies with a high speed chase. the roads were so winey it was crazy non the less kinda happy i went that way, added to the trip. ( even tho i was the only one up) so non the less we got to where we need to be and the line to get into the gates didn't look that bad so we sat there, thinking we might be sitting there for a couple of hours. I could not have been so wrong i think we sat in line for all of 15mins and the line never stoped moving. great, awsome, we'll get in set up the tent and go exploring. well we got the tent set up but centeroo( were all the bands are going to play and the"town") wasn't open yet it didn't open till later that night and it was only 11 in the moring..... soooo much time to kill and the sun beating down on us and no shade. what to do?... sleep lots of sleep. thursday was such a long day of nothing. then finally came night bonaroo has offical kicked off. o so much to be done, so much to see. so much happen more then i feel like typing, but i'll run down all the bands i saw. Matt Costa, Andrew Bird, Ben Folds, G Love, Mike Gordon & Ramble Dove, Oysterhead, Tom Petty & the Heart Breakers, My Moring Jacket, Umphrey's McGee, Magic Numbers, Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah!, Elvis Costello and the Imposters, Beck, Radiohead, Mike Doughty's Band, Soulive, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Matisyahu, and Sonic Youth. for the most part thats all of the bands i saw, i saw a couple that i just stayed for 1 or 2 songs and left. non the less an amazing time... the real question tho out of this trip/adventure, would i go back next yr... ehhh would have to have a lot of different bands on the bill for me to go back. might have been a one time deal for me... unno, don't get me wrong had amazing time, meet some awsome people, the bands were outstanding. but might want to end this on a good note.
